Description
Mylar Comic Bags are considered the safest for archival storage of comics and artwork. Polyester – aka Mylar – is ideal for conservation storage and the manufacture of archival quality comic bags and sleeves. Stable and chemically inert, it offers optical clarity, strength, rigidity and resistance to degradation for the protection for comics, manuscripts, photographic prints, drawings, maps, etc.
Three sizes available for golden age comics – Golden, Golden Classic and Golden Jumbo. Other unique sizes available upon request. 75 micron polyester – more rigid and thicker than 50 micron – more user friendly than 100 micron.
Golden – 194*268mm (7⅝*10½”) + 38mm flap (W*L). Suits standard Phantom comics. Best board for this size is the Regular size board.
Golden Classic – 197*268mm (7¾*10½”) + 38mm flap (W*L). Suits standard and thicker Phantom comics. Best board for this size is the Golden size board.
Golden Jumbo – 203*268mm (8*10½”) + 38mm flap (W*L). Suits standard Phantom and the 100 page special Phantom comics. Best board for this size is the Golden size board.
BACKING BOARDS – Best boards to suit Golden Jumbo polyester bags are Standard Golden 100 pack or Premium Golden boards. It is best practice to use a board 6mm less than the width of the polyester bag.
