Microchamber Technology: active against gas oxidants – Interleaving rag–boards which can fight against acidic gases such as: Nitrogen Dioxide and Sulphur Dioxide from air pollution – Ozone (UV radiations) – Formaldehyde (tobacco smokes) – Ammonia (contained in cleaning products) – Acetic acid (contained in all papers during their ageing). These gases, when mixed with humidity, create liquid acids which attack the artwork and then deteriorate it. “Zeolites” act as carbon filters, trapping and holding pollutants, preventing them from damaging the artwork while preserving the colours. This is the Microchamber Technology.
